ClearCorrect Braces
Clear Braces That Create Clear Smile Solutions
If you are looking to improve your teeth or fix dental issues but do not want to go through the trouble of wearing traditional braces, ClearCorrect® braces might be for you. We are happy to offer this solution at Woodmoor Family Dentistry to give beautiful smiles to patients who find clear aligners to be more comfortable. ClearCorrect is transparent and forms directly to your smile, so you are free to laugh and talk as you please without worrying about your braces showing. ClearCorrect braces can easily be removed for eating and for taking care of your teeth, so you can regain a sense of control over the health of your teeth while they are being straightened.
How Do ClearCorrect Braces Work?
If you decide that ClearCorrect braces are right for you, the first step will be to take impressions of your teeth. Our skilled and compassionate team will use 3D computer imaging technology to map out your teeth’s position and clearly outline their current location in respect to where they should be. We will use this data to create the aligners that will give you your dream smile. Some of the many benefits our patients experience with ClearCorrect braces include:
- Treatment for common orthodontic conditions like crowded teeth, spacing between teeth, overbites, underbites, and crooked teeth
- An invisible, discreet dental appliance
- The option to remove the appliance when eating or brushing teeth for enhanced patient comfort
- Lack of abrasions in the mouth, as can be found with traditional metal brackets
- Fewer dental visits due to the ability to receive trays in advance
- Shorter and simpler dental visits
How Long Does it Take for ClearCorrect Braces to Straighten Teeth?
It can take anywhere between 12 and 18 months for ClearCorrect braces to straighten your teeth. These results can vary based on the severity and complexity of each individual case. Some factors contributing to this timeline include the patient's oral hygiene, tooth alignment, crowded teeth and gaps in teeth.
It is important to note that patients are required to wear their aligners for at least 22 hours per day in order to reap the full benefits. Patients are able to remove them for eating, drinking, flossing, and brushing their teeth. On average, an aligner will be worn for about two weeks before moving to the next one in the series. This will encourage the teeth to move into their correct position over time. Each patient will require a different time period for treatment, but for teens, the process typically takes the same amount of time as traditional braces. For adults, the average treatment time is about a year. After that point, our team will educate each patient until they are fully comfortable with their renewed smile and ready to maintain and enjoy it for the years to come.
